Sustainability

At Forest House, we believe caring for your pets also means caring for the world they live in. Sustainability is an important part of how we operate and we are proud to take practical steps wherever possible to reduce our environmental impact while maintaining the highest standards of veterinary care.

Responsible Clinical Practices

We carefully select medical supplies and pharmaceuticals from trusted suppliers who share our commitment to ethical sourcing and environmentally responsible manufacturing. Wherever possible, we use recyclable materials and minimise single-use plastics without compromising patient safety or hygiene.

Waste Reduction & Recycling

Veterinary practices generate specialised waste, and we take our responsibility seriously. We work with licensed waste management partners to ensure waste segregation and that clinical and non-clinical waste is disposed of safely and sustainably. We also recycle paper, cardboard, and other appropriate materials across the practice.

QR codes are used on our drug labels to reduce the need for printing when sharing important information about the medication.

Energy Efficiency

We continuously review our energy usage and have implemented measures such transitioning to energy-efficient LED lighting, to reduce our carbon footprint.

Sustainable Procurement

From office supplies to clinical products, we prioritise environmentally conscious options and suppliers with transparent sustainability policies.

Looking Ahead

Sustainability is an ongoing journey. We are committed to reviewing and improving our practices, setting new goals, and adopting innovations that help us reduce our impact while continuing to provide outstanding care for your pets.
